What is the point of recommending Heidseck at £11.99 from Waitrose when it’s out of stock? I’ve tried 3 branches, wasted parking charges and petrol to no avail. Renders your recommendations valueless. Suggest you check availability before you promote.
I’m cross and frustrated!
Elizabeth, sorry you have such a frustrating experience. I guess the point of the site is to flag up wines that come highly recommended from reliable sources, rather than just going for the safe (and often disappointing) brands that the supermarkets try to push at you.
Supermarket Wine can only tell you what’s out there, it has no way of checking stock (see the disclaimer)
Here’s a link to Waitrose’s branch finder. Each branch has a phone number to check stock.
