Last month’s International Wine Challenge attracted a lot of press attention because supermarket own label wines did so well. They picked up 33 gold medals, 12 of which were awarded to M&S. A full list of winners is on the Mirror’s website. It also attracted attention because some commentators believe the sheer number of awards – 9,694 – tarnishes the competition.
