Decanter magazine has blind tasted its way through thousands of wine for its annual awards. And we (with a little help from the Observer) have some of the best supermarket winners.
Article date: 23 September 2007
It’s a long list, but, pleasingly, British supermarkets have outshone much of the competition (some 7,500 wines were entered). Even more pleasingly The Observer has choosen the top 25 winners available on the high street.
Hats off to Waitrose’s Blanc de Blancs NV for beating big brand names to Decanter’s Regional Non-Vintage Champagne Over £10 – you’ll find it on this list.
