As part of this promotion to raise the profile of this steak-friendly wine, Wines of Argentina have laid down a challenge to native wine makers from around the world to create their own special edition malbec. Restaurant chain Gaucho and winery Chapel Down have joined forces to take grapes grown in Mendoza and vinify them in Kent. About 2000 bottles should be on sale next year through Gaucho and Chapel Down.
