Supermarket Wine

Tesco’s wine festival continues for another week, with over 50 half price wines. There’s “Free Delivery on all orders placed by midnight, Sunday 4th October”, which is quite clearly wrong. Sunday is the 6th.

As a wine festival, there doesn’t seem to be a lot going on, except that a lot of wines are being discounted. It’s a twice yearly event that’s been running for four years. However, that shouldn’t stop you looking at recent recommendations which are on offer. So here are few highlights:

• 2006 Reserve Saint-Clair Puisseguin Saint-Émilion – £6.64, save £6.65 per bottle
• Croix Milhas Rivesaltes Ambre, Vignerons Catalans – £5.69, save £1.90 per bottle
• Flagstone Dragon Tree – £6.64, save £2.85 per bottle

• Tesco Finest Premier Cru Champagne Brut – £14.23, save £3.80 per bottle
