Since this site’s inception in May 2006 we have gone from a few users to many users. This would not be possible without you. We are now averaging more than 100,000 hits per month to the site and are receiving great feedback from you.
We have had a comment on the site from Victoria Moore, the Guardian’s wine reviewer, directly because of your comments. This is one of our greatest achievments to date. Without you this would not have been possible.
So over the last 3 years the site has been growing steadily. But from now on things will be different. This will affect you in a positive way and you are more than welcome to request new features and post your comments.
The new site will give you:
There is a new member on the team to supplement Edward. Although he knows nothing about wines, Edward is more than happy to tell him the difference between Claret and Bordeaux (he he). What Mike can do for you though is make the site work just as you would expect. In between wine tasting events from Edward, Mike is responsible for ensuring the site is alive and well maintained.
Can you please wish Mike a warm welcome and wish him well for the future.
What Mike will be working on as well as the main site is the iPhone version of Supermarket Wine, an improved mobile version of the site for when you are in your favourite supermarket and improving our RSS feeds and twitter updates.
As you can see we have been very busy behind the scenes and now you’re about to see the results of our efforts.
But before then here’s an opportunity to ask for whatever you want. I am sure Mike will do his best to deliver. So here’s to a great future with Supermarket Wine.
Edward.
