   Stunning value.

   This is really good basic Bordeaux, I tried the 2004 some time ago which wasn’t bad, certainly for the price but the 2005 vintage is telling.

   Medium body, clean black fruit on the nose and palate and just a hint of the oak ageing.

   I’m sure would compare favourably to most clarets costing up to £7.

   Just don’t show any wine snob friends the bottle.
